HELLO ALLERGY SEASON! 🤧😵‍💫

DID you know if your LIVER is sluggish, that would make your ALLERGIES MUCH WORSE??


A sluggish liver becomes a problem that ties to so many other chronic issues! Many people with fatty livers not only suffer from liver issues, but also from an estrogen dominance. This is because estrogen is recycled and redeposited throughout the body.


Same for cholesterol synthesis and ratios, which become askew if the liver is poorly functioning. The liver's job is to store glucose and make cholesterol. Any blood sugar, cholesterol or sex hormone problems can be linked to a dysfunctional LIVER!


Bile, produced by the liver, emulsifies fats & aids in absorption. The liver is our main detoxifier, so if it is lacking in its ability to breakdown toxins, pathogens or heavy metals, then skin conditions are common as the toxins come through the SKIN because they are not properly being broken down and identified by the liver.


Your allergies will absolutely be worse if your liver is sluggish! If you do suffer from seasonal allergies, please know that it "can" be that your liver is unable to detoxify, because it's already overburdened from lifestyle/diet/alcohol/chemicals/fillers from low quality supplements, yogurts etc etc.


What can you do?

I'd suggest start from your nutrition. FOOD is your FUEL and it's the root of all cures at early stage.

🥑 WHAT YO EAT TO HELP THE LIVER:

Root vegetables! Think carrots, fennel, burdock root, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, fermented vegetables and beets. 🥗


ANY OTHER TIPS? Increasing your glutathione levels, either by taking N-acetyl-cysteine (NAC) as well as being brave enough to attempt a coffee enema for a real quick and effective detox.


I'm not getting into details and the practice of coffee enema just yet. I'd think most of you would prefer a more gentle solution to start. Are you having enough FIBRE for the day? It isn't easy for a busy lifestyle and it takes a deliberate effect to UP your fibre intake. Consider a fibre supplement too! I have an awesome fibre supplement that I have been using throughout my injury into now post-op (more on that on a later post 😉)


Some SIGNS you need to support your LIVER:

  • Dark circles under the eyes

  • Yellowing of skin and eyes

  • Feeling tired and burned out all the time

  • Itchy skin/rashes

  • PMS/PMDD & Menstrual irregularities

  • Stubborn headaches/migraines

  • Digestive problems especially in digesting fats

  • Light floating stools with dark urine

  • Allergies/Sinus issues that don't seem to shake

  • Pain in the upper right quadrant or around breasts


Your liver is the hub of removing toxins. If your diet is putting in more toxins than your liver can remove on a regular basis, you might already be dealing with chronic gut inflammation (hello Belly fat!!)!
